SOUTHEND: Arrest over Woodgrange Estate car fires

Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of two arsons which happened in Southend on August 22.
Two vehicles were set alight on the Woodgrange estate in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A silver Peugeot 306 was torched in the car park underneath Candy Terrace, while a grey Vauxhall Astra convertible was moved from its original position underneath Mirror Steps, Kursaal Way, and set alight at the junction of Beresford Road and Burdett Road.
The arrested man – from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk – has been released on bail pending further enquiries to October 29.
