SOUTHEND: Police appeal after couple were racially abused

Police are appealing for information after a couple were subjected to a barrage of racial abuse in Southend.

A 21-year-old woman and her boyfriend were walking in Chichester Road at 8.40pm on August 15 when they were approached by a large group of teenagers, male and female, who shouted racial abuse at them.  The incident has only just come to light today (25th Aug).

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Pc Karl Help at Southend police station on 0300 333 4444.
